A mother-son duo from JNJ Fitness and Wellness recently hosted a cute and tasty fundraiser to help raise awareness about cancer.
Jayess Jayram and Jeron Jayram, who are passionate about making a difference, sold 1,601 packaged cupcakes that day to raise much-needed funds for Cupcakes of Hope.
“We chose Cupcakes of Hope because at least one person in each district has cancer. It’s a malicious disease, and as a Zumba family, we wanted to create community awareness that cancer can be set on its way. If kids can be cancer heroes and fight this disease, there is hope and we can pull a sheet out of their book, ”said Jayess.
The project team consisted of 20 hard working, passionate and dedicated team members who were women, teenagers, ladies, mothers, students, workers and employers.

In addition to cupcakes sales, donations were also made for the fundraiser and with the dedication and dedication of the A1 Zumba team, a phenomenal sum of R45,000 was raised, all of which were transferred to the Cupcakes of Hope bank account.
“That day the cupcakes were sold. The community was so open-minded. The acting director of Sunnyvale Primary, Yoga Reddi, participated in the fundraiser. She herself had helped raise funds for the trip. She is a true leader who sets a good example. She’s also a longtime member of the Zumba family, ”she concluded.
