Ochsner Health and the St. Tammany Health System opened their new cancer center in Covington this week for $ 50 million, 75,000 square feet.
The facility is part of the Ochsner Health Center campus near St. Tammany Parish Hospital. It has 47 private and semi-private infusion bays overlooking the Flowers Bayou forest. It also has digital health machine programs and access to clinical trials and programs.
The center will treat 20 cancers and is twice the size of the previous center. The facility will have over 30 doctors, over 80 other health professionals on site, and will provide medical services such as physical therapy, yoga, acupuncture, rehabilitation area, survival services and meditation rooms.
