FORT WASHINGTON, PA – If you like cool cars and want to help a rewarding charity as well, consider the 2021 Muscle Up Car Show, taking place in Fort Washington this coming weekend.
The event, entitled “Muscle Up Against Cancer”, is the 4th annual auto show of its kind.
It will take place on Saturday, July 10th at 475 Virginia Drive in Fort Washington.
This year’s fundraiser will benefit Unite for Her, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping women with breast and ovarian cancer by funding and providing integrative therapies such as nutrition, acupuncture, massage, yoga, and counseling.
According to its website, Unite for Her was founded in 2009 with a mission to offer love and support to people suffering from breast and ovarian cancer to improve the health and general wellbeing of those with the disease.
The auto show opens at 7:30 a.m. with early admission for pre-registered participants (pre-registration is now closed), general registration starts at 8:00 a.m.
Children’s activities start at 8:00 a.m. and an opening ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Trophies, prizes and raffles will take place around 1 p.m.
In addition to the participants demonstrating their custom-made vehicles, the organizers are also looking for volunteers, sponsors and donations.
According to the organizers, the funds raised from this year’s auto show will help launch a new wellness pass program at a local hospital to be named.
The cost of registering a vehicle on the auto show is $ 15, and the cost of t-shirts is $ 20.
