Logan University has announced a clinical training alliance with the Connor Integrative Health Network at University Hospitals (UH) in Cleveland, Ohio.
The partnership was founded by Logan Graduate David Vincent, DC (’91), the Buoncore family-sponsored director of chiropractic at the UH Connor Integrative Health Network. Dr. Vincent was responsible for introducing chiropractic into the UH organization and has integrated chiropractic into a number of UH institutes, including primary care, sports medicine, and spine and pain therapy.
Dr. Vincent said the clinical education will enable Logan’s Doctor of Chiropractic students to transition through the UH system and gain valuable experience in an integrated healthcare environment.
“Since arriving at UH, I’ve been looking forward to the time we could work together to create clinical experiences for interns in chiropractic,” he said. “This collaboration enables students to work with our integrated chiropractic team in the areas of pain management, sports medicine, and physical medicine and rehabilitation, while developing an understanding of their role as an integral part of a large healthcare system.”
Jason Goodman, DC (’98), PhD, Director of External Clinical Rotations at Logan, was party to the agreement.
“The connection between Logan and the University Hospitals not only provides students with another phenomenal clinical experience to learn in a rich inclusive health care environment, but also teaches our students to be team players in a multidisciplinary environment and to strengthen their education in evidence-based knowledge, patient-centered care, ”said Dr. Goodman.
